BIO
My aim as a painter is to achieve a form of personal, imaginative, and elegant expression inspired by an intimate interpretation of nature, grounded in an ongoing exploration of the tradition of image making. Each project begins with an onsite visual experience or encounter. My initial studies are perceptual and responsive. This is a key element to my process and provides an opportunity to slow-look (to look slowly) into the living vibrations of objects, people, and places. Painting is my way of navigating the world, of understanding my moment in time.
